This boy who adores me asked me to homecoming. I'm going with him, but I'm afraid I'm going to be leading him on too much. How do I break it to him nicely that I'm not interested in him?

There really is no easy way to "break it to him nicely". The least you can do is not make a big fuss about it and tell him straight. The more you are conscious the more it'll turn out bad. Be cool. Do him a favor by being so.

Just tell him. All your doing is taking he to homecoming, just tell him that yo uwant to be friends and that you don't want to lead him on. He might feel sad but at least you told him the truth.

make sure nothing serious happens while at the dance. When he tries to move in for a kiss or something just be like, no. He'll catch on.

my advice is to speak to him right away about his expectations..tell him you want to go to the dance with him but right now your not looking for a relationship...if all he wants is to hook up youll find out quick because he will cancel your plans...hey ya never know he might be a nice guy and you may actually like him

Sit him down and just let him know the situation. He has to respect your honesty and nobody can blame you, for leading him on, good luck.

Then why are you going with him? Pretty much not a smart move on your part. You don't sound very considerate to me.
