Religion is part of a person's core belief system. How could it NOT effect the way a person votes?

OK, yeah, right, alright. Let's get serious then.

Chavez says we voted in the devil and wants to be our saviour.
There's the religion.

Do you mean my religion, or that of the candidate?

If it's the candidate, I really don't care what religion he/she is. I never understood all the fuss about JFK being the first Catholic president.

As long as the candidate wasn't a devil worshiper, I'd vote for him/her based on merit.

Religion affects the way I view the world, and the way I view the world affects the way I vote.

It doesn't. My religion and relationship with God is between he and I. The rest is yielded to Caesaer. And I make my decisions based on the necessities of life in this world ...not the next. I don't have any questions about the leadership qualities of the next world's leader.

This one...oh yeah...

Very much. I am a Southern Baptist. God gave us laws to live by, they are not suggestions. One of those laws is to "love thy neighbor as thy self". Conservatives do not share my values. Conservatives only love more and more wealth. Conservatives only care about more tax cuts for the wealthy and the return on there investments.
In America we spend $500 billion on defense and we have 44 million Americans , half are women and children with no basic health insurance, that is wrong. Republicans have ran up a $9 trillion debt and working class tax payers will pay that, That is wrong. My God knows it's wrong.

This is a politics question, not an immigration question. But, I'll humor you since you had such bad day on the road. It doesn't affect it. I value logic and reason over faith. I also value the separation of church and state and hope my candidate will too.

You say" you" do you mean ones vote. Depends on the religion. I am a christian and vote strictly on morals.

No, because in my heart I know what is right for me isn't right for other people. Alot of religions just practice hate for others and then take part in equally contemptable acts themselves.
