I am a saved gay Christian. The Lord Jesus Christ Saved me 3 years ago and Reveiled to me that He loves me exactly how I am and to Ignore bigots that will bash me.

I am proud to say I am a saved Christian in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am in the process of building a new gay church in gainesville, florida and the permits have been approved. Construction starts next week. I have spoken to many gay Christians in my community and they are excited about the church ( Praise Jesus)

Whats the best way to let other people know about this church? Are their good websites out there to help spread the good word?

Oh and to all you Bashers that say god hates gays: The lord Jesus Christ told me clear as day that he loves me and that I am saved and that the verses in the bible reflected another time just as the bible promoted Slavery and killings at one time.

Seriously? Cool.

I think going on here was a good way to spread the word. Email all your friends. Tell them to tell people. I'll tell people I know.

What denomination is the church? You can always post information about your church on the denomination's website. And if you create a website that can be added, too.

The Human Rights Campaign has an entire section dedicated to religion for gay people. Check out their site and if you have a website for your church, ask if they'll list it.

If there is a local GLBT newspaper or publication ask if you can be listed in their listings of GLBT and GLBT friendly establishments. Many places have such lists.

Go to GLBT Centers in your area and see if you can put up flyers, posters, or pamphlets there. If there are GLBT businesses and GLBT friendly businesses, ask business owners if you can put up a flyer.

Word of mouth is the most effective tool. Telling other people is definately one of the greatest ways to spread the word.

The local newspapers are also good ways to advertise as well.

GLBT magazines are also good ways to spread the word.

For GLBT events and celebrations be sure to participate in someone. For example if your area has a Pride parade then gather some in the congregation already and march in the parade. If there is a Pride picnic, have a table where you can talk to people and perhaps hand them information about the church itself.

I'm not a Christian, I'm a Hindu with a local satsang that is GLBT friendly. I try to make sure that other people atleast know that we exist for those that would be interested. The GLBT churches in the area that I live (Oklahoma) also are very active in the GLBT community and I network with them and Unitarian-Universalists to spread the word about my satsang for those interested in learning more about Hinduism, for those who practice eastern religions and want fellowship, and so on. At the same time I try to make sure to recommend GLBT churches and UU churches in the area whenever I come across people who'd be interested in attending them.

Thus, the point I'm getting at is network, network, network!!!!

Good luck!

May God's love, peace, and strength be with you.

Well, sad to say, it is impossible. There cannot be a homosexual church. The Church is the body of Christ, and Christ is not homosexual so for there to be a homosexual Church, it cannot be a Christian one. Now there may be people in a church who are struggling with homosexuality, but once they are giving their lives to Christ they put away the labels that they use to have and become a Christian, because they are putting on Christ. They are putting on the hole nature of Christ, His righteousness, His humility, His love. They are no longer the sinner that they use to be, their self is crucified with Christ, because none of us are at all worthy of making it into heaven, it is only by Christ giving us His righteousness, and His blood cleansing us that we can ever be saved. And when you are saved it is no longer you who live but Christ who lives in you, and the old man has passed away. So you are no longer a liar, a murderer, a cheater, a "good worker" or a homosexual, but you are like Christ, you are a CHRISTian

Try passing out flyers. It would help to be in a neighborhood populated with a number of gays.
Post an ad in the newspaper, or a gay magazine or newspaper.
Rent a billboard for a couple weeks or so.
Good luck. Although church is against my personal religion,
I wish you the best in how you want to serve God and do something positive for other gays. I'm not gay but I am very much in approval of gay rights. And I DO believe God loves you just the way you are. Again, good luck.

Jesus has not given me the Authority to judge people, so, try making up some flyers to post around. It may work best if you could find places where gays go most, so you will reach the ones who would most likely come to your church. I did know a woman a few years ago, she was not gay, but, did attend a gay church. She felt they were more caring. This all I know.

I'm very happy for you! It's always a good thing that new churches are opened and that the word of the Lord is spread.
Just one thing, I don't wanna come across harshly or anything, please answer this question to me in an email or something, how can you build a church based on sin? That's no very Christian of you and if the Lord directly spoke to you how come He didn't tell you not to use His name to support and encourage sin? I'm not trying to be offensive at all I find this thing pretty interesting and I'd really like you to answer my question, my email's on my profile thnx a lot!

Put up signs in gay bars there is about the same amount of spirituality from both your church and the gay bar.. Those folks should fit right in... Jim

if Jesus forgave the criminals beside him while he was dying, imagine how many people he can forgive now that he's in heaven.

Jesus didn't come to help one religion, he came to help us all. If we believe in him, we believe that he atleast tried to work things out with Father,

Imagine your friend was dying and he said, "when I Die, I'll see what I can do to help if there is an afterlife.

Sweet, that's a good deal.. let's believe that our brother told us the truth and he will help you when the time comes.

He's already made intercession with the Father, because he died before we did, so now, because of Jesus, we have an intermediary to God the Father.

" 1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrightous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? be not deceived: neither fornicators, not adulteres, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind." Key word "Effeminate" implies a gay lifestyle.
God does love us, that's why he sent his son to die for our sins. But, we must repent and turn away from the sins that he hates, in order to truely be born again. He does not contradict himself nor changes his standards to accomdate any group. So my question is, " Are you really saved?"

Thats an oxymoron "saved gay christian"? read in Gods word, Romans 1:24,26-28,32,1 Corinthians 6:9,10,2 Peter 2:4-10, then you decide from reading it if you can be a saved gay.
