One of the few movie fragments confirming the utter genius of 'The WHO,' why they did not make more films is one of the strange sad myseries of existences Simply a damn fine film - - - awesome music, a great Roger Daltry, a playful Keith Moon - - - on a deeper level, if one wants meaning & all that - - - then it can be said that a person can retreat from trauma deep inside themselves and find genius.
But in all a great film a time capsul of the mid nineteen sixties - - -
a true musical with plot driven by the songs - - - a film equally wonderful stoned or not stoned .

Deaf, dumb and blind boy grows up abused, discovers a talent for pinball, and somehow develops a cultish following. No deep meaning... just some good rock and roll and some bad put together to make one crappy movie. I love Thw Who's music in general but I see no deeper meaning in the movie and was shocked when they made it into a Broadway play.

To me it's indicative of the fact that The Who were doing WAAAAAY too many drugs at the time. I much prefer Quadrophenia.
