Always wear a swim cap and wet your hair with the shower before putting on the cap so that the chlorine doesn't get absorbed so much.'

Wear a swim cap when you're in the pool. A rubber silicone one will keep your hair dry, or a lycra one will just keep it out of your hair. Put some leave-in conditioner in your hair and completely wet your head before you put it on. After you swim, rinse your hair in lukewarm water and use a clarifying shampoo.

I used to put a little (very little) conditioner on my ends before jumping in the pool. You don't want to use so much that it gets all over the pool water. Then rinsed it out after I was finished swimming. You could also invest in a neat swim cap. They keep your hair practically dry.

do you get it wet? is your hair long? naturally kinky or curly? geez lady you have to give more details. i have long thick naturally kinky hair. if it gets damp or in humidity, it 'poofs' up. i have learned to avoid this by: twisting my hair into a tight bun and securing with a pen or hair stick (not a band or it will leave creases in your mane) then i sport a cute silk scarf over my head to keep the wetness in the air from setting into the cuticles. so after the shower or day at the beach, i can untwirl my hair and it usually needs minimal primping. now if you get your hair soaked and try to air dry it then good luck. i have tried EVERYTHING to keep the frizzies at bay. i have to use a power masque and a ceramic flat iron to get anywhere. have you tried taming it with one of those curling irons that blow hot air?
like i said...i need more details. i don't know your hair type so i don't know what else to say. good luck in swimming class. that sounds easier than pottery class for sure..

Can you wear a swim cap?
If you already do and that is what makes it poof. By some hair balm or hair wax. Put a small amount in both hands and rub hands together and then run it threw your hair.
That should do it.

First off, how lucky are you! Swim class. Jeez. Makes my school look even worse.
Next, buy some kind of hairspray designed to be "anti-poof". I guarentee that it will help.
