I think that good and bad are perceptions, and the happiest people who seem to have only good happen to them are really just getting an even spread of good and bad, but are more optimistic and don't let bad stuff get to them. The opposite is true for pessimists.

It's examined on a case by case study. Some people have things happen because they bring it into their lives others have stuff happen to them because it is done to them. It just depends on the circumstances. Example: People who smoke usually cry the blues they don't have enough money-- they do not think about the ton of money they burn up with their cigarettes. Their money problems are contributed to by their vices and so on and so forth. On the other hand take the couple who has their home broken into and all their money stolen--this is not their fault.

When someone is unfaithful to themselves, have bad self images and believe that nothing in their lives is good, that is what it will be. We create many of our own opportunities and circumstances. However things bad can happen but it is how you react to those things that matters and tells what you are made of. These choices in life rather action or reaction mold us to our own self image and isn't it better to have a good self image, than someone else, having a poor image of us? After all, who's opinion do you trust more?

Hard times can happen at any point in our lives. Having good coping skills helps turn the bad to good. Bad times and grief are inevitable. Misery is a choice.

I think saved people have it rough. Cause see now satan no longer has them and he will do anything to take them from the Lord. He knows he cannot own there soul again, but if he can get them out of fellowship with God and Jesus then he has done his job. The bible tells us to be sober, be vigilant for your advasary the devil as a roaring lion goeth about seeking whom he may devour.

Each person was uniquely created with a divine purpose.
Therefore, each person needs different trials and triumphs to grow and learn, to go down the desired path (God's desired path).
Everything is in divine order and has a divine purpose.
Matthew 6:10
...Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
There is no such thing as "bad stuff", as ALL things are good for God's people:
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Peace to you.

God causes the rain to fall on the wicked and the good - what I mean is good and bad things happen to both good and bad people, at all times during life. How you choose to deal with it is what really counts.

Whether you get good stuff or not in this life doesn't matter... the thing is that you should follow Christ no matter how good or bad your life is... and then, if you are saved, you will have an awesome everlasting life...

It's all about lessons and transcending things.
"Good" is very subjective. Happiness comes from within, and is freely and abundantly available to everyone.
