Lots of kids have boyfriends & girlfriends in grade school. Even in the 1st grade sometimes....LOL.
As long as you aren't doing anything physical, it's fine!

Depends on what the b/f wants to do with the 12 year old and what the 12 year old wants to do with the b/f...but in general I do believe that 12 years is a little too young. Ain't no parent going to allow their 12 year olds a b/f....I doubt that very much...

oh the trials and tribulations of being 12 years old...yes its too young to have a boyfriend...but your idea of "bf" i'm sure is much different than older people...if you want to just talk and have someone to hang out with go for it, but anything beside that you're too young, my parents didn't let me date until i was 16...it seemed like forever, but when i think about it, anything before that is just not worth it.
don't go behind your parents back either, it can come back to bite you when they find out..and they will, they always do.

It's way too young. They are not old enough to understand all of the things a relationship is about. They are not mature enough at that age. I know no one who is.
I played with Barbie still when I was 12.

it's not a good thing to have a relationship when you're 12.
it's okay to like someone, but really, can you do anything?
you most likely can't go out on dates, kiss or anything. you aren't ready just yet. it may be hard to say no, but you need to tell him that you two should wait until you're in high school. trust me honey, its better to wait because you have more experience in life and you can deal with a romantic relationship better than you can at 12.

My answer is: 12 years old is too young.You can have friends,that is good.But to have a boyfriend seriously,is not the best idea.And you are right,women sometimes always say yes.To say no is hard for them.But you need to learn when is absolutely necessary to say No.Good question.

I had a rule that said no, however, a school day bf is fine, everybody pairs up....just don't do anything else.....be friends, talk, you can all go to the movies together and such.

when i was 12 having a boyfriend meant all you would do is call yourselves boyfriend and girlfriend and wouldn't even TALK to each other. nowadays 12 year olds are having sex. if you're 12 don't have sex even if you think you love him. if its gonna be that cute 12 year old relationship like i had then go for it.
