I've been with my boyfriend two years, living with him for the past year, recently he has gotten LAZY!. He used to help clean up and make dinner, even help with laundry. Now as soon as he gets home from work, he's off to the computer. I have tried to get him to help, but now he claims they are all women chores- but he has done no "man work" lately. I have tried "going on strike" but eventually i give in and start doing it all over again. It is really hard to do full time work, school, and clean up after him. How can I get him to help?

How about you just stop. Only clean up after yourself for a week or so. It may be hard to deal with because I'm sure you like things neat but its all you can do right now. If/when he does anything.... and I mean anything like put some dishes in the washer, or picks up a sock to put away give him praise, kinda like a mother would to a son to teach him it is nice to do things like that for people. Be sincere though, don't sound fake... give him lots of thanks and gratitude for helping... if he starts to get into it more reward him by cooking him his favorite dinner.

First step is to get him to do little things then by thanking him in different ways he may start to see how much it means to you and that if he does this for you he will get nice things in return. Good luck!
