The food isn't exactly free, you pay for it when you book the cruise it's included in the cost, but you do get a chance to eat at 5 star restaurant for only 20 bucks or so. plus you get entertainment, gambling, 7-13 bars, some stay open til 4 in the morning, lots of free activities, go to art auctions, bingo, shopping, midnight chocolate buffets, there is something for everyone and you can go to message boards and find out the itinerary for each cruise, so you can plan ahead. Plus the shore excursions, many different islands to see. plus get a look at other cultures, their food, history, you don't get to do that staying in one place. once you go cruising you'll be hooked!

It depends if you want to spend time relaxing longer or don't mind the busy rushed pace of a cruise ship. If price is a factor go on a cruise, you cant beat that deal. If not then pick all inclusive resort that way you don't spend 6-8 hrs on each port which is normally the amount of time before you have to go back on the ship. The benefit of a cruise though is visiting several locations.

A cruise is kind of like an all inclusive because they feed you for free, your hotel room is right there and they take you to different ports of call. I would go with a cruise. I've been on both kinds of vacations and a cruise is the best. They treat you like royalty.

all inclusive... the food is all free on the boat but the drinks are outragious.. a coke cost 2.00 per can and liqour is about 8-9 dollars a drink.. and you can buy liquor in there shops but they wont let you have it untill you get off the boat... and you only get a half a day on the island. being on a cruise is like being in a big hotel.. atleast in an all inclusive you can make your own itinerary.

Cruise, no question. best value for the money. Unpack once and forget about it. Like having your own room on vacation.
Pick your line carefully, do you want fun, kids or elegance. What would you like to see??. How much do you want to spend? Lotsa people (big ship) or less (smaller one).
(Oh, do you get seasick?? That may be the deciding factor)

Cruising is definitely the best value. You get to go places that a resort could not offer.
