tryed to write gets finished, or sounds good....help please!!

Thanx

Sit there... don't think.

I used to be the same way but I would usually start just typing things on the computer and it would start coming to me. Like don't type full sentences. Type your name and then start typing stuff like 'hello bob nice to meet you again in the morning from tomorrow last night'

It doesn't have to be anything close to what you want to write and it doesn't have to make any sense. Just get the stuff off of your mind that you are thinking by typing it.

I have found leaving areas, going someplace not inhabited by people, where you can be alone with no interuptions, is the best not only for the writing, but for ANY stress. I suffered stress as well, I write poetry, compose music, and write manuscripts to be published into novels/book one day. Go someplace like the mountains, meadows, open areas without buildings, people and the rush of traffic. Stay as long as you need to and clear away what stresses you most, relax, don't think about what's going on at home. I do this often and have overcome alot of problems/stress, finding that my writing/composing abilities have heighteded. It's a great day today to start. Make sure to pack a lunch and something to drink. Have fun. :)

Whatever it is you're feeling, is a perfect reflection, of what is in the process of becoming. Visualize yourself getting a good idea, or being content with a song you just created. Visualize yourself with inspiration and really feel the emotion. Then you'll begin to involk the most powerful law of the universe, the law of attraction. You'll be amazed on the results you get. What you think, what you feel, and what manifests, is always a match, every single time, no exception. You create your own universe as you go along. So it's very important that you feel good. Because this feeling good is what goes out as a signal to the universe and starts to attract more of itself to you . So the more you feel good the more you'll be able to attract the things to keep bringing you up higher and higher. When you're feeling down, do you know that you can change it like that? Put on a beautiful piece of music, start singing that'll change your emotion, or think of something beautiful, think of a baby, maybe one you love, and really dwell on it, block everything else but that thought, I guarantee you'll start to feel good. This inertia will propel you back to where you want to be. And When you begin to get the hang of this, when you begin to guide your thoughts based upon the way they feel, and you begin to notice the correlation of what you're thinking and feeling and whats coming back to you, before you know it, you will know that you're the creator of your own reality, and those who are watching from a distance will stand in amazement at the perfect life you live

Well, you have to stay alone sometimes. Inspiration usually doesn't comes to the crowds. It comes to people, who want to be truly inspired. So, my advice is: "Stay alone, until you'll find your inspiration". And another thing: You have to know what do you want to write about. Is that something, that disturbs you or makes you happy? Is that about life, love, or - maybe - a shiny day 100 years later from a today's rainy one? Don't limit yourself like some folks advise, just the opposite - take away everything that makes your work hard to accomplish. And, above all, pray. I think, that should help you to stay alert enough to make right decisions on what you should and should not do in your life and creative thinking.

Really?!? It sounds to me that your answer is right under your nose! I don't think you should go for a bike ride or get a massage...I think you should FOCUS on your life, and your stressfull situation, and write about how you feel. Maybe you should start with a song about having writers block.

In other words...great music comes from writers who learn to use what they have....finding a muse will just make you sound like everybody else. Stop worrying about "what lyrics would sound good". Just write what you feel.

It's sounds simple but all you have to really do is right the first things that come into your mind. I am a novelist. As such I get righters block. In order to keep writing books you have to keep the book flowing. You would be very suprised how many songs you can get out of such things. The stuff you write may not make any sense but you can always take out that stuff. It should start getting your imaginative juices flowing.

I'm the same way...I typically have to get rid of the distraction. If it's a junkie room, I have to clean it. If I've been arguing with my husband, I go apologize. If it's something that I can't do anything about, I might take a nap, eat, make sure I'm working with all my energy and marbles, and then try again. Something usually comes.

A couple of points.

Best things are -
hit myspace and listen to other peoples work. I am not saying copy it, in the SLIGHTEST. Just listen. Myspace has alot of artists of all genres you might not have heard before, this can show you sounds your ear wasn't used to and I find it very inspiring. It gives your brain something new to process and gets you out of a rut.

Keeping writing even when you dont want to, even if its stupid kid poems, it keeps the brain cells going. Ultimately though you have to WANT to write, to have a passion about it, as a fellow ADHD sufferer it will get worse if you push yourself.

Sing. Muck around with your own voice. Just when you are walking round the house. You might find a phrase you havent heard before and like the sound of, that lyrics come naturally to.

Baseballandbbq is correct - main thing is to get away from People for as long as possible - that includes Girl Friends - get away on your own without access to a telephone.
One idea is to get a single occupancy outside cabin on a Cruise Ship and stay inside your Cabin. Have the Steward bring you food.

Try a crowbar. If that doesn't work, the guys at United Van Lines can move just about anything.
