Non-believers, cannot, by definition, despise Jesus because they don't believe in him.
What they more likely despise is the self-righteousness, intolerance, hatred, violence and hypocrisy that seems to flow freely from people claiming to follow Jesus. It is the massive misunderstanding and misuse of Christian ideals by purported believers to condemn the rest of the world that has nonbelievers in a huff. Intellectuals may also despise the Christian's willingness to abandon reason and logic in order to adopt a belief system which is inherenly self-contradictory and logically unsound. The self-imposed "Christian lobotomy" of faith which transforms a thinking person into a "dumb receptacle" which can willingly turn a blind eye to the fatal flaws in the Christian story and believe it anyway. Then, in turn, negatively judging those who aren't so willing to abandon reason for something less reliable, faith in the absurd.
Note that at least half of the answers you've received to this question are by Christians, even when it's not a question for them. This is a question only non-believers can answer. Note the presumptuous and self-righteous nature of their attempted answers. i.e., "because we are Truth and they don't like that for reasons x,y,z". I ask them, why even live life in this diverse world if this is as deeply as you're willing to understand others? Kill yourself now, and save the world from your hostility and bigotry.
I'm not a Christian, but happen to think that if the guy Jesus of Nazareth ever lived, he was probably a pretty cool dude. Not a son of god, unless we all are, but just a peace-loving, philosophically adept, benevolent hippie type. Certainly didn't deserve to be murdered. Perhaps his philosophies should be followed. But he shouldn't be worshipped as the human incarnation of God. See Buddhism for a much more reasonable approach to a religious figurehead.

You are taking a giant misstep in logic here. You are assuming that because people don't accept your interpretation of Jesus and his work, that they despise Jesus. How can anyone despise someone they have never even met? Probably what you are picking up is the the annoyance generated when people claiming to have cornered the market on the truth, continually brow beat people who don't agree with them under the pretext of saving their souls.

To first answer the people who said Jesus doesn't exist, he did. He's definitely a real historical figure. Anyway.
I don't despise Jesus. I think he was a nice guy who had some really nice values, like not lying or killing people and loving everyone. I don't think he was the son of God, but may have been a prophet of a god.

I don't despise Jesus. I merely don't think he is 'divine' or the child of a deity which may or may not exist. Big difference between that and despise.

i do no longer trust in Jesus or Zeitgeist the action picture. i will show exhibit this action picture and help you comprehend. with any success it really is extra efficient than Zeitgeist through the easy shown reality that grew to change into shamefully undesirable. close to to lack of existence comments are BS. Scientists can simulate close to to "lack of existence comments" with intense G flight simulations. No lack of existence, similar hallucination vacation. death on your theory isn't an uncommon one. It also would not validate your faith. If it did, there must be somewhat some conflicting "easily" religions. Revelations 17:10-11 isn't convincing. There are 7 kingdoms in the previous the Anti-Christ. 5 have surpassed and a million is to be. human beings say the a million to be is united statesa.. i imagine it somewhat is bull. there has been MANY large global powers in the previous the U. S. - Ottoman Empire and British Empire as an celebration. there grew to change into an element in time at the same time as the international grew to change into ruled through very few global powers. there have been diverse activities in historic previous the area human beings "bore the mark of the beast". Social safe practices grew to change into also considered as such. I have not considered the cometh of the lord yet. Why do you imagine the mark of the beast is now RFID chips with social safe practices numbers? once you're were given right here throughout the time of to be incorrect, you'll in reality search for yet another "signal" - in reality like you known for yet another kingdom. traditionally, this "prophacy" has been repeated such somewhat some situations it really is rediculous.
