Italian , spanish , greek and german men known to be hot heads ? my cousin said to refrain from going out with a cute italian guy that asked me out because of this? But i think he is a nice guy he is 22 years old and we both love italian food even though i am spanish and its not that odd because i live in a jewish, italian, and irish area. Does she have a point or no?She also does not like the age difference cause i am only 18 and its only my first year of college. I love my cousin like an older sister does she have a point?

i think what she just told you, was just from her personal view. i mean its not like its written in an encyclopedia that italians, spanish, greek and germans are hot head people.
for example, i left to italy 4 years ago to study abroad, before taking off, EVERYONE, my teacher, my aunt, my neighbor, my best friend, even my doctor said, 'dont date italian men!! you cant trust them' i was kinda shocked what they told me since it was obvious that their reputation was of being 'hot heads'. so i left to italy with the idea locked in my head and i kept my straight face to the men around. about a month since i arrived, i met a guy, italian. we dated, but i kept my thought, 'dont trust' and so i didnt. but little by little by little, by every tiny bit days passed and passed and i got to know him bettter. and it got ot the point where i realized, 'dude, this guy is not like everyone said, the 'italian' type woud be, he is normal like every other guy in the world would be'
its 4 years now and im still wtih him, he is not the hot head and never really was, it was just all in my head, all in the heads of people who told me they were. im sure out her ein itlay there ARE untrust worthy italians, but there are also many that arent.
so i would say, ignore what your cousin says, she just probalby doens want you to get hurt, but your old enough, you HAVE to go through experiences or else how do you live life? maye this italian guy really is a jerk later on, but youll learn from it, maybe he is a real sweety, and youll prove to your cousin she was wrong.
by the way, i was 19 when i met my italian bf that i am still today and you know how old he was when he met me? 23. in college, age isnt as fundamental as it was in highschool, just dont go over the border dating men in thier late 20's thats all.
enjoy your experience!

Follow your heart and not this hogwash of rumors about men from other countries and cultures. It is usually the culture clash that makes things dofficult....not a temper problem, because anyone, male of female, can have a "hot" head, meaning it really does not matter what country you're from. There are enough American guys, black and white, who are hotheads, and so are men and women all over the world: it is how you communicate with each other that makes or breaks a relationship, nothing else....Good Luck

You are young, this is the time to experiement by going out with lots of different types of people and seeing what/who fits you best. Personally, I find mediterranean men seem to have a tendency to be more sexist than others, and therefore expect me to be more traditional and to act like they are much smarter than me and to do whatever they say. Which doesn't work for me because I'm extremely intelligent and have a successful career, this seems to intimidate them. But for someone else it might work, it takes all kinds. So I would tell your cousin that you respect her opinion and appreciate the advice and her looking out for you, and she might be right, but you just want to check it out for yourself.

You may love and respect your cousin but I think she should keep these type of opinions to herself. She is being racist. Only you will find out in time if this relationship is what you want it to be.

No, she does not have a point, just a racist view. People are people regardless of race, creed, or color. Check him out and enjoy his company and tell her to stop being so narrow minded.

Is your call: be friends is OK. Have motivation for sex - everybody choice. First you finish college.
Roots and nationality who cares - only the middle East people.

Look you're young, have fun but be careful you can't trust everyone. Who knows it just might work out. But what will your families think?

I doubt it. If their culture is more accepting of this behavior, they might act that way, but you can't just assume you know how a person is because of their ethnicity.
