Look at his reasons for not being able to visit you and then turn them into something positive---that could cheer him up. For example: he can't come because he has to go to college and take a math course, so you tell him that you can't wait to see "Einstein" or you tell him something even more positive, something he can look forward to---just try to make it a little funny at the same time...Good Luck

I am going through the same thing as you are. You can't do everything yourself. My guy wants me to move back with him and start over and now, he is mad and not talking to me because I can't do it right now due to cost of moving. I have to do everything myself....you know what? **** that! Your friend have to understand that you are going through same thing. Calling, emailing, writing letters, or even send cards once a while to keep in touch is the best way to do. =)

My bestfriend and I became pen pals... We sent each other artwork, books, goodies, presents, magazine articles, and we wrote actual letters. It gave us a way to connect dispite the distance. It was like having a little piece of the other person every week... Plus it made us feel good to know that the other person was putting thought into our weekly letters or packages. It was cool and I saved every postcard and letter. It's great to have the memories.

Tell him that you love him and you will call him to check up on him.
