The visible orgnanized Christian church has become a joke, and it is very sad. While we were busy looking the other way, Satan has snuck in through the back door, and now, we can see him smiling at us, even from behind the pulpit, as he digs ever deeper into our pockets....
Yes, many people have fled from the church because of hte hypocracy they see there, and it is a very sad thing.
Any idiot who thinks that they are somehow "better" than someone else who is "guilty and unworthy...to be a church member" because that person thinks they "know Jesus" while the other doesn't..that person is kidding himself.
You don't know Jesus at all, if you think that......

i resigned from the methodist church when i was 23 (am 63 now) because i did not believe all that bs about an afterlife, among other things, and still don't. there is just no logic in that thinking. religion was created by man to explain the unexplainable and because man is not capable of accepting his own death.

i have no problem excepting the fact that death is finite. argue with me if you wish. i've been discussing this for 40+ years.

a hypocrit is one who will snipe at anyone who makes the tiniest mistake according to scripture, knows the bible very well, but does not live it, is very critical of others, even though they don't even try to live the life or walk the walk. they are the ones who will say Lord Lord, and the Lord will say, away from me I never knew you.

ppl might want excuses but God has many choices out there so there will be one church that you will like....so lets bury the excuses and remember to worship the trinity..

No. It's the culture of death we live in that causes people to distort human love.
