No I do it all the time. Dogs understand the pitch of your voice and have learned from past experience that it indicates happiness and love toward them. Keep on truckin!

alot of people talk to their dogs in baby talk. It is just like talking to a baby they don't know what you are saying but they know it is a friendly voice and they can trust you.

I talk to all of my animals, but I don't use baby talk. I don't even talk to my kids in baby talk..but sometimes I feel like I have to talk to my husband that way to get him to understand me...

I do it all the time with my pets, the animals at the vet clinic where I work, and all the animals in my shelter. It's definitely not just you! I even find myself talking baby talk to my horse and turtle.

Nope! My dogs are 80, 90, and 20 pounds, and I occasionally talk to them like that. Hakuna mattata! :P

When I look at my Chihuahua puppy, Hennessy, I can't help it!
He's my baby & he just brings that outta me!
