It is okay to shave the public hair? I just do not like my hair down there. I was thinking of shaving it. I am a guy. Who do shave their public hair anyway?

Yes, it's ok to shave it.
On the other hand, occasionally, you might get hit on by some gay guys.

Shaving there can give a nasty stubble that snags on your underwear. There is also the danger on razor cuts and razor burn in a rather sensitive area.
A better method is to use Nair, which is a mild acid that breaks down the structure of the hairs and you simply wipe the hair off. The hair grows back a little less bristly than with shaving.
If you have never used Nair before, test a little of it on another part of your body a day ahead to check for allergies from the stuff. You don't want to find out the hard way that you are!

Yes, it's ok to shave your public hair. I know lots of guys who do it. Just beware that the first few times you might break out in tiny pimples... but it will get better after time. Use a baby lotion after shaving to help. Good Luck!

Well, it's all about preference, but watch out!! Shaving can cause ingrown hairs, which don't fell good! If I were you, I'd probably go for waxing, it hurts a little more but it lasts a lot longer.

it's pubic hair. not public haha. and i shave. i'm a girl. i think guys should shave. or at least keep it trimmed, and clean!

Using a straight razor can cause a rash or can result in cuts in a very sensitive area. I would suggest investing in a trimmer you would use on a beard or goatee... It works perfect to keep pubic hair short and clean.
