I would like to bake a cake, but I don't have any icing sugar. I live out in the country and it is too far to go for just icing sugar. Does anyone have any ideas on something else I might be able to top my cake with?

Put regular sugar in your blender or food processor and whiz it into powdered sugar. Problem solved? If no blender--look in your cookbook for cooked icings.

depends on what kind of cake your baking. If chocolate cake you could top it with a ganache. You could use whipped cream on almost any cake. Or if it's a pound cake you could just serve it with fresh fruit and maybe a drizzle of honey or if a pound cake slice it and toast the slices then spread thinly with some lemon curd or jam

Ice Cream. Soften it just a bit, spread it on the cake. You will have to freeze cake afterward, but yum!

you can make your own icing sugar from caster sugar, pulverizing it in a food processor...or you can make a nice chocolate icing by melting 100g of chocolate with 50g butter and 1 taps sugar...or just frost it with double whipped cream...
