i have thick wavy hair, with curls on the ends. kinda funny cuz the top of my head, the hair is straight..i really wnana perm it straight, and i was thinking about when the new hair grew in..it would be wavy all over again, but i could just straighten that..shud i perm it??

I wouldn't. Have you ever had a perm? You should definitely let a professional do it if you decide to. You have to have had a lot of experiencing using that VERY STRONG chemical relaxer in order to 1. not ruin your hair 2. do it right enough to see a difference. Consider getting it professionaly straightened or buy a ceramic flat iron. Yes, once you perm it, you must keep up with the NEW GROWTH and not overlap the perm onto previously relaxed hair or you will severely damage it.
