My first memory is also of getting my tonsils out, like many of you. I was three at the time, and my sister and I were in the hospital together. I remember being wheeled down the hall and seeing my sister passing by me in her own crib. It terrified me, because I thought she was dead, and I feared the same fate awaited me.

Thanks so much for sharing.

=)

*hugs* to all of you.

When I was 3 years old and was brought to the hospital to have my tonsils out. I put a fight because they tried to put me in a crib and my parents were leaving. My father, because I was crying and screaming so hard left and after awhile came back. He picked me up out of the crib and gave me a Mrs. Beasley doll to stay with me so I wouldn't be lonely and scared. That was in 1972 and yes I still have that doll sitting right here on a shelf above my computer.

Moving into a new house when I was about 3. There was no furniture yet, and it seemed so big! My sister and I ran through all the rooms. The visual memory is only very vague, but I remember the wonder and excitement. We had never stayed anywhere for long before then.

4 years old in kindergarden. I was pushing a pushcart, someone else steering. Another cart like that came my way. The kid steering it scared me and it looked like he aimed for me. It hit my hand and I was bleeding. I remember someone else being really upset and crying, going to the doctor that lived next to the school, my mother saying he should have stichted. And I have a scar to show for it. Remember most things since that one/// Love

PS actually I remember the first day of kinder as well so I guess I just lied...

My body hitting a white painted wall because my alcoholic father had just backhanded me across the room in a drunken rage, sliding down the same wall and being too shocked to even cry.

My mother tells me I was about 18 months old at the time.

I remembered that one when I was 12 years old.

Haven't forgotten it since.

Thank you Spooky.

Hugs right back at you.

I love hugs.........<*Grin, blush*>

I remember looking through a skeleton key hole into one of many bedrooms off this large closet that I use to play in, and saw my first ghost go by in the room, I must of flush it out of the closet when I went in one of about five doors that lead to the closet, I was about 3 or 4 y/o.

Standing in my crib crying, because I knew my parents were going back and forth in the hall, from their room to the bathroom. In my young mind, that meant they were getting ready to go somewhere. I remember my mother coming into the room, and gently laying me down, and telling me it was time to go to sleep. I have no idea my age at the time.

Mr. Duchovny,
I think that I was about 5 and I remember a yellow tonka toy truck that was on the floor. I began crying because I couldn't go to school like my older brother.

Well, if you mean, when I became aware of my existence, I have to say age 4 when I was watching TV. My mother called me to go sit on the couch with my 2 year old brother so she can take a picture of us together.

Oh that is so sad, you poor little boy. Someone should have better prepared you. My earliest memories, were when I was three years old, too. I was walking two blocks with my five year old sister to Bible School.
