What do the drummers on here think of The Duallist double bass Pedal?

I haven't had the opportunity to play them yet. I played double kicks for a couple of decades, now using just double pedals. I am playing Pearl drums but using Tama Iron Cobras.

What I want to try is the Axis triple pedal. Two foot boards, but the slave side is conventional. The active side acts as a single beater or kick your heel to the right to engage a spring loaded third beater, that supposedly strikes with equal force and the same rebound before making the next stroke.

Sounds really cool to me, but at over $500 I'll have to wait to demo one. I don't want to spend that kind of cash for an experiment.
