My first and only one pet is a little dog called Laika. The friend that give it to me asked me to named it like this in honour of the first space dog, the Russian dog Laika. And I adore the name so everybody was happy.

My first pet was a german shepard - pointer mix named Candy. I don't know why she was named Candy as my parents named her because I was only 4 at the time we got her.

My first pet was a cat called fizzgigg aftter a little fluffy ball character from the film 'the dark crystal!! She was so CUTE!! Lost her in a custody battle - i miss her so much

I got a cat and named him Tullio after Tullio Campagnolo, the guy who invented the derailler on a bicycle. I was a bike racer and liked campy better than shimano.
Tullio was really cute, but when no one was around he attacked the kids and peed on my daughters bed. We had to send him back to the farm he came from. I think either he didn't like his name or he was my ex-husband in cat form.

Her name was Penny, and she was a beagle that a neighbor gave to us. I was five and a fan of the TV show Lost In Space. Penelope Robinson was one of the characters, and the inspiration for my dog's name.
Penny died 3 years later of distemper. This was back in the days before the vaccines were readily available, and unfortunately we lost Penny far too soon.

Magenta: she was a hamster and was named afer a character in the Rocky Horror Show, thought for no particular reason. I also had a cat called Clive as it was the only name he reacted to

My first pet was a black dog named Cujo...cause he looked like the dog from the movie Cujo...he lived a long time...i had him from like age 3 until i was 13

It was a cat named "Gold Brick." I was like 6 at the time, so have no idea what possessed me to name him that. He was white with gold and orange markings on his body.
I was heart broken when he had to be put down because of Feline Lukemia, though.

The name of my first dog was Rusty. He was a stray dog and other people in the neighbourhood were calling him Rusty, so it just stuck with him. Cute little terrier of some type that I don't know.

Susie (labrador), no idea why, my dad named her.
At the moment I have a cat called Bingo and I have had a rat called Basil after the character in Fawlty Towers.
