So I've liked a girl for a long time. She recently found out and told a lot of her friends she wanted to date me. A few days ago I asked her out and she said she didn't want a boyfriend right now. Why would she say that after saying she liked me? She didn't have a boyfriend when I asked. Thanks for your help...

welcome to highschool (or junior high if you are). girls are just 'undecided' when they pass through those years. thats the perfect example of an 'in'mature girl. the ones who dont know what the hell they want in their life. but you know what, its the same with guys sometimes, i went through the same thing with them when i was in highshcool. i hate it when people are like that. if a guy i liked in highschool cameup to me and asked me out after me saying i like him, my answer would have probalby been, 'hell yeah! lets go!'
if i were you, i would get pissed that girl reacted like that, i mean she kinded made you look like a fool. she could have done it also for the reason of looking 'good' with in her friends. i would forget the girl and date another one. find another one, begin seeing her, let her be your gf and show it off to teh other one to make her realize all the good stuff she just missed.
maybe thatll make her be a little more mature next time about her decisions.

Well, just because you like someone doesn't mean you want to be in a relationship. Just be her friend for now. People have a tendacy to change their minds if you spend time with them. One of my friends (guy) send me two dozen roses and I don't know what it means. I think that you shouldn't feel hurt or mad or dissappointed because it's not like she doesn't like you. Give it a little time.

well maybe u should just talk to her for a little bit longer and maybe u will found out more and that way u will get to know her ok

how did u ask her? or if thats not it then maybe she has too much to deal with that even the joy of having a guy would cause her more stress.

maby she was to shy. or it was a nasty rumor that she said that.
or her parents found out and said no not yet if your under 12 years old

its ok being a girl is complecated she likes you but she might not be ready for a serious relationship (or her parents dont allow it) thats all i have to say
