Go out and find someone who can be interested in JUST you! You will get over her as soon as you have another one lined up! Be selective next time. Tell the girl up front what you are expecting out of a relationship. If she gives you the right response, then proceed with caution. Do not show a girl you are too eager. This will be a turn off. Get out of the house and put her out of your mind. Time will take care of the hurt and you will move on. Stay busy and keep your eyes open for a suitable replacement. When you are young this always happens. You will have a thousand girlfriends who will do this before you stumble upon just the right one.

Well, she is probably in an off/on realtionship with this guy. When things are off, she wants you to turn to and talk to, but when things go on again and she is happy with her boyfriend, she ignores you..
I've done this in my younger years and it's quite common for girls to do. I actually feel guilty now for doing such a thing.
Although it feels that you can't get over her, you can, it's not the end of the world. You need to stay away from her because you're only a rebound.

She doesn't want you anymore. She might have liked you at first, but as soon as the friends thing comes into play.. she isn't into you. I have thought I'd liked someone before and then realized he was not for me (at least romantically). That's when I told him we should be friends. You need to get over it. It wasn't meant to be. Especially if she had a bf... sounds like a ho.

A lot of women do that. They like to have someone to buy their drinks and take them places and bring them a lunch or what ever. But that is all they want. I have met many of them like that. They keep you around to take care of their needs till they can find someone to take your place then dump you like you never mattered because you really never did matter. Just a free ride.

Watch around and you will see women never dump a man till they find a replacement. They also like to see men fight over them and the guy with the most money will always win the girl.

One thing I have learned about people these days, they like to cyber flirt. They like to have virtual, in this case the telephone, relationships. Maybe there is something she likes about you that she isn't getting from her boyfriend. Or maybe she just really likes you as a friend. Sounds to me she doesn't know much about monogomy. If she was leading you on, she's a jerk. If you two ARE really friends call her on it. Maybe she is looking for someone to pin her down, call her bluff.

When a woman/girl say they want to be friends, it means that they do not want you in a romantic nor sexual way. They do not see you as anyone they want to be lovers with. It is their way of rejecting you. In short, if she says "Let's be friends", then you aren't going to be anything more than that. Sorry.

Now it is the time to move on to the next one. Get over her and move on. It hurts, but pain is only temporary. One of the cardinal rules of the dating game is that if you want to be her lover, don't be her friend.

Well, um. thats a good question. but here's my best guess:it could be that she could be feeling guilty about liking you. There could be many reasons why she feels like that, or it could be that she liked you but now she has found somebody else. Sorry i sound so harsh but some girls are like that. (trust me I'm one 2)

It sounds like she was sort of leading you on, but if you didn't 'officially' ask her out before all of this then she had no clue. People are not mind readers and she probably didn't know you were interested in her in that way, because you didn't say anything. lol

Although it may have been something deeper for you, for her it might have just been lust that has worn off by now.
As for your first question, girls say lets just be friends because they just want to be friends; they don't want to mix their romantic friendships and their friendly friendships together!
