I want to move to Boston and want to go to school there but it would be way to expensive to go to school as a non-resident. How long would I have to live in Massachusetts to be an official resident and go to school at the resident tution rate?

You have to live there for 6 months and 1 day out of the year to be considered a legal resident.. I think that's what it is anyway

This also depends on your age, and if your parents will be with you(if you are transferring), etc. If you are 16 or younger, you can't be denied an education. If you are older, and like I said, if you are actually transferring from another state/city, then you don't have to worry about first becoming a citizen. Good luck! I give you lots of credit for wanting to further your education as well.
