Before I can answer these question, I must first say.
How dose winning and losing factor into a conversation or a relationship? I didn't know that communicating or having a relationship with a person was based on winning and losing. I had never thought about it being a win or lose situation until now, so the talkitive guy could be a smart fella and he may have taught the Pirate Lady something today!
So now that I am aware that he is a smart man I can be assured that he has viewed these situation's from all angles including, maybe it's him?
Because if the smart, talkative guy started a conversation or a relationship believing there had to be a winner and a loser. Then could it be that discussion's with him are perceived as argumentative and the relationship a competition? I personally would prefer a quiet dumb guy over a smart argumentative one that partisipated in a relationship as a compeditor and not as a partner.
To assess quiet men as dumb, and talkative men as smart. I don't understand the smart, talkative guys rational in that perception?
I of course can only assume his reasoning behind it. But if I were incorrect it then would make a *** of you and me!
But what the hell! I don't always have to win.
Did the smart, talkative guy lose a girl because she dumped him for a quiet dumb guy? Thus he being a smart talkative man gathered his assessment that the only rational for a women to prefer a quiet dumb guy is because they have to win?
Of course I am probaly the one who is wrong here, with the talkative guy being so smart, so I hope I have this clear, if the women has to win, don't you think the smart guy would say she did not, because she's with the quiet dumb guy? Now if the quiet dumb guy has the girl, then is he still dumb, and if the smart talkitive guy be standing there with his foot in his mouth, is he still smart?
So based on the smart talkative guys second question in referance to his first one.
I would have to say the answer to the question would be.
That it has not been proven, women because they have to win, prefer quiet dumb guys, because they have not been proven to be dumb, opposed to smart, talkative ones because it has not been proven that they are smart especially when they answer their own question because they don't know when to shut up!

All women are different.. just like men are. And if you think you are turning women off because you are smart and talkative, you may be coming across like you know all the answers and give TMI too much information. I just went into the health food store today to buy supplement and the women there was too smart and too talkative. I felt like I was on information overload! I ended up buying nothing because I didn't keep up with the scientific mumbo jumbo. If you are very smart and very talkative, you may find it useful to adjust the dial so that your listeners do not feel overwhelmed or intimidated. Once you gain their comfort and trust, they will enjoy the fact that you are astute on many subjects. Good luck to you.

They will be beating your doors down, man!

Could it be because it's easier to find quiet, dumb guys? Plus, face it, the quiet dumb ones are usually pretty good at moving furniture when we need furniture moved.

I love smart, talkative guys and I'd settle for smart and quiet but they're harder to find than dumb & quiet.

You're dating the wrong women. Most women who want dumb quiet guys don't have anything intelligent to say in the first place, so they need a silent idiot to make them feel important. . . and to listen to them babble on. Try going for a different type of woman than what you currentlly go for - look in different places. I say any man worth having is worth sharing with and no way could I have stayed in a long marriage if I married silent bob. lol

I prefer an intelligent guy who I can have a good conversation with. People who are quiet aren't any fun and I hate to have to drag a conversation out of someone.

I for one, do not prefer "dumb guys" I like men with whom I can have a stimulating conversation with, even if we don't agree on all issues. In fact a man w/ a thought in his head is far more stimulating than someone who does not have anything to talk about......

I think you just haven't met the right girl yet. Be patient and think about what you talk about. Ask yourself,"AM I obnoxious and loud? Or am I a senative listener as well as having something appropriate to say?"You don't have to show off how smart you are.Think about your approach.

Quite is not necessarily dumb. Talkative smarts are just too feminine.

i like better the hard to debate ones because i like the struggle of winning and being the correct one. im not easy with guys, so the more smarter and talkative, the better to conquer!
