Ask her out. The worst that could happen is she says no. I don't know about you, but I could live with that. Do it in a casual way so it doesn't come across as desperate. "When are you gonna take me out?" is how my boyfriend (now husband) snagged me. I thought it was cute.

Only one way to ever know. Ask her out!
Look back over these seven years. How have you acted when she is around. Are you shy....don't know what to say to her.....not given her any reason to think you like her?
Never ever believe what someone else tells you about someone. Go to the source. If she turns you down you have your answer.
Know this. There is a point in time when girls give up on men. If they once feel that she will never go anywhere with you then you are out. She may stay friends but any romance is out.
You will never know this unless you make your move. Expect the best but be prepared for the worse. What do you have to loose?

You already know a lot about this person and if you have had the crush on her for 7yrs. You will always wonder "WHAT IF" ."WHAT IF" I would have asked her out, how would things have been for us? So I say that you need to let her know because later in life you will have regrets if you don't. I had a chance with a friend of mine about 4 yrs ago to tell hin how I felt, but I didn't. now he is married I regret not telling him everyday. I am very happy for him and his family, but I wonder "WHAT IF" I would have told him would that be us. Yes we are still friends and do hang out sometimes still, but can you settle for something like that or do you want to know? The worse thing she can tell you is that she just wants to stay friends with you!!!!!!! So give it a shot because I promise if anything every happens between them 2 and it ends I will tell him how I feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After seven years, you're still holding on. It would be foolish not to ask her out. I mean it's not like it's going to mess anything up--seven years hello, you probably know eachother very well. Disregard whatever your friend says. Never go through them to find out anything. Always do your own asking to the girl. So, just ask her. I don't think it would mess anything up, she may even feel the same about you, and is just too afraid to ask. The confusion probably comes from her not knowing how you feel about her, and using tactics to protect herself from being hurt. Good luck. (don't sweat it)

Just ask her out - that way you don't have to wonder if you should bother with her or not. She'll answer that question for you when she either says yes or no to a date.

it doesn't mean that since the gurl was being nice at you, it doesn't mean she likes you as her bf, maybe as her 'friend'...
but if i were you, i would take her out, what's wrong with that?
friendly date will do..
life is too short, i dont want to regret later on or ask my self on 'what if i did that etc' ..
take the chance.. good luck!!!

Well if you ask her and she says no it'll kill. Consider that before you ask. But if you've liked her for 7 years its definitely time.
