That is called cracked nipples. IT is casued from poor latching.. Y
You can go to the store and buy cream to put on... It is for cracked nipples.. Yes you can still breatfeed while using this... If it really bad then you need to go the Dr. They will have to give you something for it........
You need to make sure that the baby is getting all of the breast...Nipple and areloa.
If you still have problems and still very concern contact you're Dr..

I don't think that this is a big concern, the pump could be more harsh than your baby suckling, It probably is from a cracked nipple. Try the Lansinoh cream to help, but I would tell your doctor to be on the safe side. I am really glad you are choosing to breastfeed. When you get over the initial tenderness, well pure pain, there is nothing in the world like it. I have been doing it for 6 months now, and trust me It does get easier.

Breastfeeding is hard on your nipples. After the first week when she'd latch on, it felt like a tousand needles penetrating my nipples all at the same time. It is normal for them to bleed, mine did. Just make sure that it is blood and not an infection.

Do you have an infection, or are your nipples cracked and bleeding from breastfeeding?
I think that you should talk to your health visitor/doctor about this.

If you are bleeding or if it hurts when you pump or nurse its a sign of poor latch on.
See your breastfeeding specialist or your doctor for help.
