the hospital chaplain performed a naming ceremony. All of this happened when I still believed in god. From what I have heard, my baby did not get to go to heaven, as he died before being baptised, is this true?

I believe he is in the Summerlands awaiting reincarnation. I think that your God would understand your situation and accept him. Blessed be and I am sorry for your loss.

NO WAY... catholics make people think they have to baptize babies to go to heaven.. its just another way for them to get to together and drink and break more rules of the bible... you should get a King James version of the bible and look up the verses on baptism..a person should not be baptized unless THEY know what it represents and they choose to do it... you baby went to heaven 100%...
the church i went to you had to be at least 8 years old before you could be baptised... because then you were old enough i know what it meant.. you accept God as your Savior you should be baptized to SHOW to other people your decision to become a christian and follow the will of God.... that's all it is.. a way to show others of your choice...

Who told you that??? Oh honey, I am so sorry.

I can only speak for Catholic beliefs when it comes to baptism, so this might not exactly apply. A person has to be alive to be baptized, so if your child died in utero, a priest could not baptize his or her body. There are blessings and rituals for circumstances like that, and I would be surprised if you were refused some sort of funeral or memorial service.

As for heaven, the God I was taught about and who I believe in would never refuse a little one into his kingdom just because he or she died before baptism. I have total faith that your child is in heaven and watching out for you.

No it is not true, whoever told you this can't possibly know the loving heart of God, your baby is in heaven, and in the loving arms of Jesus, who loves you and died for you, I can't tell you why your baby died, or why these things happen but, I do know that Jesus said let the little children come to me, God sees what we can't see, the future, and only God knew what the future held for your son, God only does what is best for us, if you turn back to Him He will comfort you, and you will find peace, because God knows your grief, and He knows what it is to lose a Son, He watched His Son Jesus die on the cross for our sins, and I believe that God's heart was broken, at the cost of our salvation, but Jesus is risen from the dead, and seated at the right hand of God, in heaven and your son is there in heaven with Him too.

Oh, hon, I wish that there was some way to give you special words to heal your heart.

I'm a Goddess-worshipping Pagan (formerly Missouri Synod Lutheran), but **firmly** believe that a loving Eternal holds your son in health and love, until you will see him again.

Don't know why we humans must deal with pain and loss, and not have answers here on earth---and me and the Goddess are gonna have a LONG talk over coffee, when I cross over; she's got some heavy explaining to do about why things happened, and why evil occurred on earth! But my limited human brain just can't process the data now; massive upgrading will be needed....

With your permission, I'll ask the Blessed to keep you and your family close and send you healing and heart's ease, in time.

I am very sorry for your lose.
Of course your son is in heaven.
The bureaucratic nonsense of humanities religions may actually prevent good people from being involved with the their community more.
Of course your son is in heaven.
The problem is finding people to separate reality with "higher educated" thought (all that university time wasted) Loss of touch with grieving parents is something religious people should be aware of.
Of course your son is in heaven.
Any human that says otherwise , just pray for their soul, as they are out of touch with the will of GOD.
Please, do not hold GOD responsible - for stupid humans! GOD is still involved in your life, you have daily miracles, and your family.
You just had a hard lesson - that not a humans are in touch with GOD as they should be.
Again, I am very sorry for your and your family's loss.

DON'T EVER THINK THAT...I also lost 2 children in utero,
I have never believed they did not go to heaven....I was pretty
mad a God when it happened....I even yelled at him out loud...
but over the years I've come to understand, that there might of been a reason they died...it could of been for any reason....Trust in him, yell at him if it feels better....he wants to help you...
all you have to do is ask....God Bless You ....
(and by the way, I lost them 37 years ago) unfortunately, you
never forget...

I believe that God will be merciful to a baby whom you meant to get baptized but it wasn't possible. God will not let an innocent person miss out on heaven because of circumstantial problems.

that is a lie . how can someone say that as a christian ,what type of god do they worship not my Father that's for sure ....be comforted to know your child is with the Father in Heaven . . We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8).

Absolutely not. This is one of the major issues that separate Protestants from Catholics. The Bible says that those who have sinned will not get into heaven without forgiveness. Your child did not sin, and therefore does not need forgiveness. Those without sin go to heaven. Your child is waiting for you in heaven.

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. -- "become as little children" because they are held blameless and go to heaven.

Mat 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

All children below the age of accountability go to Heaven reagardless of baptism. Honey, your child is probably watching you from Heaven and anxiously awaiting the time when you will meet again in Heaven.
