I ate lunch with a female friend the other day. My girlfriend calls me in the morning and asked me where I ate lunch and with whom. I let her know it was at a chinesse resteraunt with a female friend. She became extatic and told me it was over. She asked why I did not tell her, I told her that she would have blown it out of porportion (she has a big habbit of doing that) making it something out of nothing. Just as a FYI I have not cheated on her ever. Should I pursue her and try to fix things or leave them be and forget about her. Another FYI her cousins friend saw me at the resteraunt, doing nothing more but eating and carrying conversation. What should I do ? Any help is appreciated.

I am not a jealous person, simply because I will only be with a man who loves me as I love him. If he wants someone else then I am wasting my time because I have to have an equal relationship and being jealous is just a waste of time. Have you given your girlfriend reasons to be jealous? Some girls are just so insecure that you cant even look sideways at another girl without having to explain your life away. Is that your girlfriend? or has she reasons to be jealous? You have to decide if your girlfriend is being silly or has reasons to feel this way. If she wants to own you, mind, body and soul, then I can tell you it will only get worse. If you want your freedom to do what you want to do, then break it off with her. You are not doing anyone any favours by hanging onto a relationship if you are not fully committed to it.
Only you can decide what type of girl your girlfriend is. If you have given her reasons to be jealous, then you need to look at yourself and your own actions and if this girl means a lot to you, you have to stop doing things that make her feel insecure and jealous. If she is just plain controlling, then finish it with her because it will only get worse.

I think you should have told her before you went. I think you still should have gone, but would you feel ok if she had lunch with a male friend and didn't tell you first?

I would find a girl who is not that stupid. If you had lied I can see her going a little crazy. When people act that way it's usually because they have something to hide themselves.
