That can only be Britain. POSH = Port out, Starboard home.

When the rich used to set sail for the southern shores (Mediterranean), and vacation, they would want to be seen sitting on the "sunny" side of the boat. The poor had to sit in the shade. Port side going south, and Starboard coming home.
