I think people nowadays have a problem with their ego. Many of us think we are the most important person and we should always get our way while others should bow to our wishes. Human beings are inter-related and inter-dependent and it is in our interest that we co-operate with one another and help others. Sometimes I find it really hard why people have so much anger and are always taking it out on the people around them. I think our mass media culture is not helping. In TV dramas children get to see people talking to each other rudely and treating each other with no respect. They copy this behaviour but in the real world, this is not going to help them achieve anything.

Of course we're on self destruction course. The Government is always using the citizen to clean up their garbage, reuse, recycle, yet the big stores and corporations are polluting and filling our landfills. Big Box Stores throw out so much stuff that could be given to a shelter, like Shampo where the label is torn or diapers where the cover has a little rip etc. etc. Bread that expires tomorrow, couldn't that be given to a hostel or soup kitchen? Same with milk, but no, it goes in the garbage. Sad but true and what a waste and our landfills are filling up.

Quite simply we are losing the ability, desire and need to 'Love your neighbour'. Unless you spend time with someone, or something..it's unlikely your are going to develop any significant understanding of what your are engaging with. How can you trust or build up any healthy relationship with a people, culture, political system, religion, cult if you don't have any 'unconditional love' with you. Fear holds us back..fear for our own lives puts humanity naturally in a defences or attack mode...Politicians or religions (organised variety) can't control that process..it has to come from a tranformation of the human heart. You can only model something diffrenet, by the way you live and the community you live in...By doing so there is a chance peolple will be positivley affected and make changes..start local and then it might go global...it's costly because most people are in 'flight or fight' mode. Its a collective consciouness and we can activate it ..using it for good!

Well...if you go back in history, you will notice that human beings always were on a self destruction course...this is nothing new...Look at the wars of the past, remember when they used to burn people alive, torture them by using the rack to stretch their limbs etc...Human beings are not going to get along soon. We are just repeating the past but with a new twist.

We all have our own views and opinions ... we all bring our children up with the values we believe in... I have my opinions and I don't think that I'm always right ... If discussing something with someone else I'm always willing to listen to their point of view and on occasions change my opinion. I think that respect for others is very important and always listen to others..that is how we learn and grow at any age.
Live and let live... I would rather make someone laugh or smile than argue with them... we are all unique and that's what makes everyone of us special...

I have lost faith in human nature. The world is full of ignorant arrogant selfish greed self centred people. I don't have time of day for anyone except my own family and a few close friends anymore. The sooner we destroy our planet the better.

BUT
roughly, I would say that although on the surface we may pride ourselves on being civilised, human beings have primitive instinctive behaviour that is very easy to trigger by systems of power-ie media, government etc.
