Source of the Devil! OMG!
This is the very reason I don't read for many people anymore!
I really hope you were charged for the reading!

I have pondered this question alot as well. I have found that the old pagan religions' rites and rituals are still sometimes practiced in Christianity. Such as liting a candle before you pray, going to mass. Also in holidays like Christmas and Easter, Why do we draw symbols on eggs? Is an Easter egg or Christmas tree the devil?
Although Tarot is now more of a midevil carnival type thing as opposed to its roots in the Runes, before the Romans bought Christianity.
I am hoping to develope new Mod-Christan friendly Tarot. Maybe name them "Faith Cards." With pictures of the apostles in stead of knights and pages. Maybe Joana as the fool and there will be a big controversy over who we put on the "Lovers" card.
The Angele with a fiery sword would be a good canidate. Maybe lambs blood will mark the death card. And the Devil? Hmm.. well they already got a card with him on it.

Allowing a tarot reading is no more "devilish" than asking a question of the magic 8 ball. At their most intuitive, a good reader can play off of what your inclinations are and interpret the cards towards what you will likely believe. Tarot readers are human beings, not devils. God (and the Goddess) understand human nature, human fraility and human curiosity - as well as our fear of the future and the unknown. Man, however, especially Christianity has saddled you with that guilt. Fear not and Be Blessed.

If you are a Christian you have to remember that the authority and powers of darkness cannot defeat you - regardless of your sin. Jesus died for your sins. I think maybe you're feeling a little guilty and awkward about your choices. You know what to do about that. Repent - tell God you messed up - ask for forgiveness and then "GO AND SIN NO MORE!" - messing with witchcraft is pretty serious. It's serious because you begin putting your hope and your faith in someone or something contrary to your God. You know the consequences of this.
1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Ephesians 6:11-12
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
James 4:7
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Grab the word - put the truth back into your mind. I believe your heart is quickened and you are convicted. Deal with that. Embrace the mistake then let it go and trust me, DO NOT pick it back up. Ask God about the questions that you have and let him answer you. Seek his word to find the answers for yourself.
K?
And whoever is in your life that is suggesting you turn to the tarot - you need to remove yourself from that relationship. Now. That person is not fruit in your life - they are out to do you harm.
*wink*

If you are truly are a Christian, you are secure in Christ. "And no one can take them out of my hand" concerning God's grip on His kids. As far as tarot cards go, we are to have nothing to with witchcraft, fortune telling, astrology, horoscopes, etc. The latter three deal with us trying to figure out what the future holds. As Christians, we are to seek God and His plans for our life. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all Your heart and lean not on Your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."

No. You aren't.
But if you think you did something wrong by asking for answers, then Sincerely appologize, and I'm sure God will understand. That's what forgiveness is all about, right?

You need to repent and walk away from ALL witchcraft...
Jesus will forgive you, you only need to ask.
They are a source from the devil (or one of his minions). Stay away from horoscopes, palm reading, tarot cards, numerology, etc.
If you want to deal with the Spiritual realm...you've got plenty you can do for the Glory of God there...
I know this won't be a popular answer for the secular world...but then I'm more concerned with what God thinks...not the world. :o)

With all due respect to you, this is something you should not have anything to do with. Anything to do with fortune telling, tarot cards, etc., has to do with the occult, and the occult is satan's realm.
As a friend, I must stress this to you: don't do this anymore. It's like throwing open a door for satan and inviting him in.

Well the Bible does tell us to stay away from sorceresses and mediums and actually to put them to death and not to defile our selves with such witchcraft.
