Many kinds. Rain effectively "sweeps" suspended particles out of the air, so particulate matter like smoke and dust of various kinds, pollen, fungal spores, etc. are largely removed from the air by rain. Even dissolved gasses will be absorbed by rain and carried to earth. Rain water is typically highly oxygenated for that reason. Other gasses which are not normal components of air will also dissolve in rain. However gaseous contaminants are probably not removed from the air as effectively as particulate matter.

Carbon di-oxide is soluble in water and so in rain the corbon di-oxide present in air would get disolved . If due to the existence of factories and machines using lot of fuel , there is more of carbon di oxide in the air , the quantity of the gas soluble in water being more , there will be a conentration of the gas in the rain water , This being acidic , the water will be a carbonic acid and it might not be conducive to the growth of plants . Bsides dust canalso be there in the rain water .

Water takes all the suspended particulate matter emitted by different factories. Also the different oxides of Nitrogen, Sulphur and carbon dissolves in rain water and make it acidic (Acid rain) and comes to earth. It causes harmful effect to aquatic plants and animals and agriculture. Alos to the monuments (Taj mahal). These different oxides are emitted by Factories by combustion of fossil fuel which contains carbon, small amount of sulphur and nitrogen they all form oxides. These oxides are acidic in nature when dissolved in water.

polluting gases like oxides of sulphur and nitrogen are released by various pullution sources. these gases being lighter than air tend to rise upwards in the atmosphere. When they come in contact with the moisture which causes rains. They dissolve in this moisture to form various acids like nitrous acid and sulphurous acid. These acids are detrimental to the proper growth of plants and also cause considerable damage to man and other animals. these rains cause corrosion or harm to various buildings and monuments. if you are satisfied with this ans then try to contact me
