I don't hate Christians. I hate it when American Christians try to impose their belief system on all Americans. I hate it when Christians claim to be persecuted but are in the majority. I hate it when some Christians spread lies about atheism, claiming that it is Satanism, or a complete lack of morality.
I know some Christians that I respect and admire. But I have the sense that the majority of Christians today are blinded by their belief and incabable of reasoning correctly and empathizing with those who do not share the Christian beliefs.

Followers of Christianity and many other religions are not accepting. Not all followers, but a good percentage. If ones views are not consistent with the views of the religion, the "nonbeliever" is scrutinized and put down. Because I don't follow ones beliefs I am threatened with hell and eternal damnation. It doesn't matter how good of a heart I have, how good of a person I am, the christian right says no, go to hell. It isn't a personal hate towards one person within Christianity, it is a hate towards the ill logical preaching we have to endure in order to be "saved." Well, I don't want to be saved, I want my own beliefs, and I don't need to hear constantly that I am going to hell because I believe in evolution. If I go to hell for this then I am satisfied, becuase I will not worship a God who is vengful, muderous, and wacked out enough to make something like the platypus.

I don't hate you I just feel sorry for you so called christians. I grew up catholic. Went to catholic school and was never taught the hate that this new Christianity preaches. This new Christianity is a disgrace to the writings of Christ.
I find this new fade of Christianity driving around with 50 thousand dollar SUV's with fish signs on their cars. They are very materialistic, hypocritical in all sense of the word.
Christ was a long haired hippy liberal. He loved everyone and not once in the Bible did Christ say anything about homosexuals, prostitutes, murderers ect... He did say, however, "He who is without sin cast the first stone!"

check out your history and how many have died at the end of a "so called" christian weapon. Also you could get a good clue from reading christian answers to legitimate questions posed by non-christians right here.
What is the cause you ask. My favorite subject.
Christian's almost from the beginning have not paid attention to the accountability clauses in the Bible. Epistles to TIM and Mat 18.
Therefor we have leaders who are not held accountable, who are controled by boards controled often times by merchants.
In TIM ittells how to keep leaders accountable and how to choose them. Try to find a church who practices these teachings. good luck on that.
These scriptures also tell how to keep members of the body accountable and that is seldom done and one reason is we depend on money to continue as we do like church buildings etc> If a large giver is held accountable he may stop giving and if you can not hold a big giver accountable then u can not hold anyone to account.

To be honest, I have no idea. Chrisitianity is a good religion. The religion itself has never done anyhting completely wrong, perhaps some of its followers though, every religion has those. It's most likely becuase there is a stereotype that all Christians are trying to convert everyone and are preaching all the time. I've never run into anyone doing that though, except for Jehovah's witnesses. They seem to be in no way hypocritical though, so I put up with it.

Come on, maximum significant religions have a notice they supply theory to derogatory to describe a individual no longer of their club. Infidel, goyim /gentile, Pagan/heathen. I choose all non secular human beings by ability of their deeds, seem at those stated on the information. staring at what all 3 religions from Abraham do to a minimum of one yet another makes me experience unwell. i'm offended that i'm interior the crossfire. although, I unquestionably have acquaintances from many faiths that are real those with the comparable concerns and aspirations as myself, an atheist.

Because people like to hate, it is as simple as that.
And not just Christians, people like to hate Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Mexicans, Americans, Canadians... and when one realizes that every one of those groups of people can say exactly what you just said, the world becomes just a little more peaceful.

People have a dislike for Christians for the same reason that anyone dislike's anyone else. They had one bad experience with someone who said they were Christian, and now anyone who says they are Christian will be associated with those bad acts. It's the same for other races, religions, or anything else for that matter.

I don't hate Christians, I pity them because:
They believe that their doctrine is the only valid one
They think anyone that doesn't believe the same thing as them will burn in hell
They hate gays just because an outdated book tells them that they are bad people
Many of them have a condescending attitude towards people who don't believe as they do
Though I only pity you, many will probably hate you for these reasons...
"Those who imagine evil where there is none, and do not see evil where it is — upholding false views, they go to states of woe."

I don't hate you. I have different opinions than you, but I accept that and I don't hate you. I do hate the people that always lash out at you, they make a fool out of us non-believers.
However, I have had christians yell at me and call me names. I'm gay, and according to the bible, I am a work of the devil. Christians always tell me that I need to change and that I'm going to hell. Why can't they leave me alone? They take away my rights and try to change me and tell me that I'm going to burn in the lake of fire for eternity. I don't have a problem with christians, but they certainly have a problem with me.
