Be brave and ask him!! I don't think he can be in love with someone he won't talk to!!! Guys love attention from girls, but don't always want a relationship with them!!

Most guys who are in love will do something - ask you to a dance, to dinner, to a movie, and so on. Some will buy you flowers or other small presents, and a very few will write a poem or song about you.
If they're too shy to do any of this, they may have social phobia or not be ready for a relationship. Stay away from people with phobias - not because they are bad, but because they can be a Pain in the ***.
As for denying that a guy likes a girl when he really does, this would generally only happen in the presence of his real love interest, or parents.

you could tell by the way he look at you, talked with you, some time he want to be friend first to see what happen later if you both connect

guys deny it because they're afraid of being made fun of by their friends
