Cut a small square from a banana skin big enough to cover the verucca and tape it in place, white side against the verruca. Use a bandaid to keep in place. As the banana skin breaks down it reacts with a chemical in the body to loosen and remove the verruca. Plus it is painless too for the child, whilst at the same time gives the painful area some padding. Change the banana skin every 2-3 days. Trust me it does work, this is no joke!

Verrucas are very hard to get rid of, unfortunately. Wartner does work but you will almost certainly have to apply it more than once - you'll have to wait two weeks between applications. Another method is to soak your foot in a bath, until the verruca is soft, and then - gently - try to cut it with surgical or manicure scissors, which you can buy at chemists'. The actual verruca will probably be slightly indented from the skin around it, and you may see dark spots - that's what you want to cut away. The problem with verrucas is that they have a root, which can be very deep. Be persistent and regular with your treatment, and they will go away eventually.

The BEST way to get rid of a verruca is by having it frozen off by the doctor, but I don't know how old you have to be to have this done. It's easy and quick and does not mentally scar the child.
My mum used to do this thing of slicing off the top with a razor blade, sticking a corn plaster on the top and filling the hole with some nasty cream. It took weeks for the damn thing to go! Anyway, just thinking about it makes me squeamish and did nothing for our relationship. Fifty Ways to Hate Your Mother, lol

Scholl Wart Remover or Wartner - both available from chemists. They 'freeze' the wart painlessly and do not need picking off etc, but you may need to apply twice over a period of a few weeks. It is said that verrucas will eventually drop off and the host will develop immunity to them if you can leave them but sometimes they are too painful/uncomfortable to leave.

i bought a 'scholl' product the other day. its a freeze spray which you spray on to the affected wart/verruca, and it claims to kill it within 14 days. its v.easy to use, doesn't hurt and has 12 doses in one bottle. it cost me approx £12 from my local asda store.
i sprayed my verruca 6 days ago + it does seem to be more prominent + the skin looks like it is dead (black).
hope you find a suitable remedy!

for both these and warts, cover them with duct tape or duck tape(depends where your buying from).
the tape starves the verruca/wart of oxygen and kills it off to the root. may take a couple of weeks but over the counter remedies dont get rid of them to the root and they tend to return.

You can use a wart and verruca cream, such as Bazuka (in the UK) Go to your chemist and he/she will be able to help you. If all else fails, go to your doctor.
