If they have gotten too warm...they might tend to weaken. I wouldn't trust one from a wallet (for more than a day or two) or one that I didn't know where it had been stored. Other than that? I think they could last a year or more if not exposed to temperature extremes

They do have an expiration date on some of them, and once they get to old the lube and or spermicide will lose its effectiveness. Storing them in the proper place will also help, not on a dash in a car, super hot in there and will render the condoms integrity weak. Good luck.

Interesting Question!! Look on the box for the life of your condoms. You probably shouldn't keep them for more than a year. Do not keep them in your wallet or purse...for this can cause soft spots on the condom and cause it to break easier. Keep them out of the heat and extreme colds. If they are old they tend to break easier...kinda like anything else. So if you have been holding on to some condoms and are wondering if they are too old...uhh they probably are.

Condoms have an expiration date on the wrapper. If they are out of date, the spermicide on it weakens. Also, the condom can weaken with time and exposure to heat, sunlight, etc. If that happens, the condom is likely to break during intercourse. Be careful.

Read the label, there should be an expiration date. If you wait to loong, they can break in the throws, and why use a condom if you can prevent that?? Follow the box!

they will dry out...Causing them to break more...
every condom should have a expiration date printed on the condom rapper.
***another note... do not keep them in your wallet. they get wornout really fast and wil lose their integrity in a matter of days:)

There's an expiration day on the wrapper. After the exp. date, the latex becomes brittle and dry. Then it will tear easily.

I suggest that you do not use a condom, sex feels so much better without the condoms.

There's an expiration date on the box and the individual package...once they are expired, the risk of them rupturing during use is increased...
