My problem is this. I'm a divorced, mid-fourties guy who has attained a modest level of success. I'm a responcible person who is a "nice guy" and likes being that way. I like being generous and kind to people. What I've found is that women really do like "bad boys" , and I can't find a good woman to build a relationship (and possibly a life) with. I've tried several different ways to meet someone, and with no luck. I've met women who wanted to party all the time, or who wanted to use me for all the money she could get out of me. Well not all women like bad boys, and not all women like to party all the time. Some of us good girls are shy and we don't like to make a horse behind out of ourselves by getting smashed, acting like a gold digging hussy or dressing like some two bit tramp.
I happen to like the guys that are generous and kind hearted. I happen to think that they are a dying breed. Guys that treat a girl like a lady and don't have to make a jerk out of themselves fighting or acting like a Neanderthal. I am such a tom-boy that I tend to frighten off guys for the most part except as friends.
I am into sports, muscle cars, racing and the occasional off-roading with my truck. I love working with cement and doing home improvement projects when I can. I have a very busy schedule with college and the like, but I still like to work on the house when I can.
So good girls are out there, we are just the over looked wall flowers or the tom-boy with heart of gold.

Are you an unassuming guy? They may take it that your weak because you don't self assume all those manly motifs and swagger. For me, as a really shy guy, I'm debilitated in the presence of an attractive woman. I think these things may both have the same effect, being modest and unassuming and shy as well. So here's some ammo for you. I think you are a gallant knighly guy from what you said. Find out your local S.C.A. chapter and join up. Its great fun and you'll meet LOADS of proper 'ladies' that will treat you like the gentleman you are. BTW. You may have far too many ladies after you, so you may have to tone down your good qualities and reveal them only to the ones you really would die for. :-) Good luck bud.

It's sort of like playing baseball - if you try to hard to get what you want, you usually get the exact oposite. Relax, go do what you enjoy doing - biking, boating, reading in a library/book store. Stop looking for it and let it just happen.
