Well we are not winning points. That's for certain. The Bible says salvation is the GIFT of God. God doesn't take back what He has given.
As far as saving ohters, I can tell you that you certainly saved my husband's life. Or others like you have.
See 3 yrs ago, my husband had a bleeding ulcer. His hemoglobin (red blood cells) went way low. Dangerously low! He had to have 4 units of blood. (The human body only holds 7)
So you or someone very generous like you helped to save his life. Which in turn saved my life. Because after 25 yrs, I love him with all my heart, and I think I'd die if I didn't have him.
So in a way, you saved 2 lives.

And, yes. I am so absolutley postive and sure God is very proud of you to help others the way you do. It may not get us extra points as far as our salvation but it is a wonderful thing to do - to help others.

Oh my gosh how can you compare donating blood to Christs amazing sacrifice!
Of course it's a good thing to do but what are you actually giving up? some blood. He gave his LIFE.
He died in a horrible gruesome way and went to Hell for three days. You had a needle poked into you. And God doesn't judge His followers on a "point" system. It's on whom is most faithful to Him. That means being good to others and all that good stuff.
Poke a needle in your pride and let it fizzle down a little. God also wants us to be humble and give glory to HIM.
In Christ

God tells us to love one another. Jesus told us the same thing. It is good to help others. Jesus said, "when you do it to the least of them, you have done it unto me."

Winning points? Not so sure about that. Will you be rewarded? Perhaps? Depends on why you do it and who you give the glory too. If you are doing it for yourself and want glory here on earth, then that is all the reward you will get.

If you are doing this for others and giving the living God the glory, you will be rewarde in Heaven.

You cannot shed your own blood to save yourself or anyone else. Blood donation is a noble thing to do because it is vitally needed. If you are saved, then this is a good work. I believe that God does approve of blood and organ doners, but this act alone does not guarantee salvation. Prior to being saved, all your good works count for zero with God, because the unsaved are condemn----Read John chapter 3.

He is proud of you and others for the gift of giving. You most certainly earn brownie points here on earth and in heaven. God Bless and take care.

I believe that giving blood is a personal matter, and does not reflect on whether you get into heaven or not

I don't believe in Jesus or rewards for the afterlife, but I donate blood often just because I know it will help someone.
