There afraid for there (Tranquillity), allergic to religion of all forms, except the one they know very well so do not fear.
They don't understand spirituality so they fear it!
They've seen some pretty drastic measures, and psycho extreme cases, that is all they know of it.

Because religious bigots believe that their religion is truth, and all other religions are evil. These people are not truly religious, they are self-righteous, and are the problem with the world.
This is assuming you've put the prayer up only in your private area. If you are posting prayers in shared areas to "inspire everyone", then it's a bit presumptuous of you. Religion is a private arena and if you're putting up religious phrases for your own inspiration be sure to keep it among your family photos and other personal items so they don't come off as a bulletin for everyone. Otherwise it will be an inappropriate religious expression.

Nothing at all wrong with it. I'm an atheist, but interested in learning about this religion as it has philosophy attached to it. Also the Buddhists are peace full and never push their beliefs onto anyone but will help you if you ask and interested in learning so i do have alot of respect for Buddhists.

Buddhism is not understood, just look at all the people here who think I worship a fat man. They do not realize that Buddhism is an agnostic religion. Nothing is wrong with it, that person is obviously very ignorant in the ways of the Buddhist teachings.

well, they can do that to you at work, if someone feels offended. Why they would feel offended, I'm not quite sure. Not over a poem.
It's not bad to read things like that. Some people though can't handle anything out of the view of their blinders. Anything not of what they believe is "bad".
Now, if it were me, I would make sure he didn't have any religious icons, etc... or anything personal like a poem in his work area. But, that's just me.

It can offend people to see religion being taken into the workplace. The Victorians used to say "Never discuss sex, politics or religion....that way nobody will be offended."
Perhaps that still applies?
