I have to agree with Sam. Show proof of his medical situation and tell the land lord you need to be excused from the lease. If the landlord refuses, then you are just going to have to find a place before the eviction process starts.

My heart is with you and I know how difficult this must be for you. Stay strong, and if your landlord does file an eviction, be sure to go to Court and explain to the Judge and keep your documents, medical records and letters to show any place that you plan to move in to if they mention the eviction.

Good Luck and Take Care

Only if the landlord will OK it. Speak to then and explain the situation and be prepared to show proof and they may allow it if not, legally you are subject to the terms of the lease and again it depends on the landlord.

I would try to get a letter from your Doctor referencing the location of the rehab and its urgency, medical bills, and a police report to confirm what happened.

Then go to your Landlord with the evidence and speak to them about getting out of the lease.

Whether or not thy will let you out I don't know. But they may negotiate a deal if you can help find a tenant.

Good Luck.
