I am a veteran!! Just to let you know!! I am not for this war or president!! I am, however, for the support of the young people who join the service just so they can have benefits for their new families. Some join for the cause but most join because they are poor and see a way out.

First of all, the draft is not coming back. I will join voluntarily. Not for the benefits.

If you join just for the benefits then you need to step back and ask yourself what you really want. If that is the only way you can avoid a life of poverty than there is something wrong with you.

If they want me back......I'm there. I wouldn't be able to wear my old uniforms though. I'm not sure which military you were in, but I didn't know anyone who was just there to support their new family or for the benefits. I served with a bunch of caring, intelligent young people and I wouldn't give those memories back for anything in this world. btw....the draft will not be brought back in our lifetime.

I have two sons. I love my country, but I would not send my children to another Vietnam. I would leave this country and never return. While I appreciate the service our men provided during the Vietnam conflict, they were not protected and were treated like crap when they came home. Just look at the number of service men and women with unexplained diseases from their time in the middle east and how many have to go to mental health professionals.

When I was dropping bombs and ordinance on innocent women and childred in Viet Nam... destroying hospitals, churches and schools... I felt guilty. NOW... I would give anything to be in Iraq with a fully armed and ready Gunship or fighter plane in my hands, so I could go out and enjoy bombing and straffing the mosques, religious schools, orphanages and schools of the Muslims... with any luck I could kill a few thousand and come back to the U.S. feeling like I had done my part for this country.

Actually, nobody would becuase they expect somebody else to save their ***. Anyways, Iran isnt a bad part anymore, so called soldiers risking their lives have electricity, video games, and anything they need. While my dad was shot in February and they sent him back in august where it is so bad contractors wont build anything and if they see anybody they have to shoot them.

It is very unlikely that the US will bring back the draft, BUT, if it does and you get drafted, and are medically fit, you have NO choice but to go or you will be court martialed and spending a nice long time in Leavenworth, KS.

Just let them have nukes and lets live in peace. Radical Muslims like the Iranian president wouldn't ever dream of hurting Israel or the U.S. Radical Muslims (did I mention the Iranian president was one) believe in "live and let live."

So let them develop technology that will destroy entire countries with one shot. Radical Muslims (who said it was the duty of every Muslim to destroy Isreal...hmmm...maybe it was the Iranian president) respect the people of other faiths. Iran would never let radical Muslims have a nuke, we can trust them...ah...wait... isnt the Iranian president is radical?

Wake up people.
