Vitamin C overdose, toxicity and side effects: Megadoses of Vitamin C, 1000-2000mg are commonly associated with gastrointestinal disturbances, diarrhea, abdominal cramps and nausea.
In general, megadoses of Vitamin C should be avoided in individuals with a history of renal stones due to oxalate formation or hemochromotosis or other diseases related to excessive iron formation Vitamin C overdose may predispose premature infants to hemolytic anemia due to the fragility of their red blood cells.
In healthy individuals, it appears that megadoses of 1000mg per day are well tolerated and not associated with any consistent side effects. Concern of it's pro-oxidant properties is stimulating interest in its potential long-term toxicity.

Between 1-3 grams (1,000-3,000 mg) per day is safe and healthy for most active adults. But like anything else, these demands vary from person to person. Fortunately, our bodies are not shy in letting us know when we’ve consuming too much C. Mild diarrhea is a common sign that the body can’t keep up with the dose you’re taking. If that happens, cut back a bit.

No bodily organ stores ascorbate as a primary function, and so the body soon depletes itself of ascorbate if fresh supplies are not consumed through the digestive system, eventually leading to the deficiency disease known as scurvy (a form of avitaminosis), which results in illness and death if consumption of vitamin C is not resumed in time. check the website
