How do I get my 2 dogs to stop eating grass?

I have 2 daschunds puppies (12 weeks)...they eat grass an awful lot...worries me a little...is it bad for them? Can it be stopped?

dogs always eat grass its just natural but if you want to get them to stop you could keep them away from grass as long as possible or just let them eat grass because thats what dogs do( try to go with the 2 answer i gave you because it helps your dogs with there stomach)

The good news is is that you shouldn't be too worried. Dogs eat grass all the time (I know from personal expierence, I've owned/own 7 dogs). As you probably already know, puppies put everything in their mouths. There's probably tones of scents on the grass, and they eat the grass to enable themselves to taste the smells, if you know what I mean. If the puppies have been getting sick, they may be eating the grass so they can make themselves sick to rid themselves of something. If the grass eating is obsessive, take them to the vet and make sure they don't have a parasite.

There is really no way to make them stop eating the grass, but you can always try and train them.

No it isn't bad at all, they eat grass as a medicine for their stomach. You may be feeding them something that is making their bowels get loose and the grass helps them, that is mother nature sense they have. My vet told me to take 2 Pep to Bismo tabs. put Vaseline on them put one at at time in your pets mouth way back, be sure they swallow don't feed them what you eat it hurts them more than you know. They need dog food not human food. You can cheat a little.with your food.

well actually i dont' think its bad for them, my mom gives my dog grass to eat whenever he dosen't want to eat his regular food your dogs are probably just sick from the stomach

all dogs eat grass, they do not just eat it when they have upset tummies. dogs are omnivores and need a varied diet.
