I saw this in the drugstore and was intrigued. Maybe it's for camping - but there are definitely days when I would love to throw a little powder in my hair, soak up the oil and save myself a few minutes in the shower. Has anyone tried it? Does it dry out the hair? Any brand recommendations? Thanks!

Yes my mother used it when she was going through Cancer treatments. it's usually used for bed ridden patients that need to be sponge bathed things of that nature so they can feel fresh and clean, it kinda makes them feel somewhat normal while there usually going through alot of medical treatments like chemo

Hi, Yes this works, most are made from corn starch. Flour will make a play dough effect when mixed with water. It is great for oil. Cornstarch also is great if you run out of loose powder to control T zone oils. it does not stay stark if you use it sparingly.

What, they still make that? I thought it disappeared in the 70s! It is better than nothing, but it does not make you feel the same as a good shampoo. And it really doesn't save a lot of time, just keeps you from getting wet.

I used it when I was very sick. It takes the oily residue out of your hair but nothing cleans like regular shampoo and water.

flour can soak up the oil in your hair. the point of shampoo is that is attracts water and dirt, so when you rinse your hair, the dirt comes off
