I remember some people that had a baby to harvest one of the kidneys for their other child,.

Therapeutic cloning (a.k.a. biomedical cloning): This is a procedure whose initial stages are identical to adult DNA cloning. However, the stem cells are removed from the pre-embryo with the intent of producing tissue or a whole organ for transplant back into the person who supplied the DNA. The pre-embryo dies in the process.

Scientists have already grown human gall bladders and successfully transplanted them. The idea around cloning organs is to make the organ itself, not harvest it from another clone. Though I suspect the time will come when we will hear about this, about how a guy is diagnosed with some disease that can only be treated by a transplant, and he tries to harvest the organs of his clone only for the clone to refuse. If the clone had already died, it would be like organ donation.

A clone is simply a twin. If you harvested organs from your twin you'd go to jail, so the same would happen if you did it from a clone. If you had a clone you wouldn't have any right to them, they would be their own person.

You answered your own question about the legality. As for the ethics of it all, i think it is wrong to clone anything . When you fool with mother nature you set yourself up for mistakes.

Ugh, I can't imagine that happening. We may come to the place where we can grow "bodies," but once the breath of life is taken in, and a living soul is born I can't imagine "using" it for body parts.
