Carbonation + Vibration = Overflow

Don't do this!! If you hit it on an angle rather than straight down, you will break the top of the bottle. The person will see it overflow and not see the broken bottle and shove the bottle in their mouth to stop the overflow and cut their lip badly. Great way to end a fab party. I've seen people do this and end up in the hospital getting stitches. Not recommended.

Be Cool. Stay in School. Don't Pee in the Pool.

Yes. I would imagine it releases a lot of gas from the beer very quickly.

Try shaking a can of beer and stabbing a hole in the side right at the bottom; the same effect, and another worthy drinking game as you pretty much have to drink the can in one go (called shotguning I think).

Vibrations cause the bubbles to form. Sometimes without even hitting them hard together the top of the bottle will shatter just because the vibrations are sent throughout the entire bottle.

Yes...I've done it a million times.

You just have to be careful not to hit the other bottle too hard or you'll break your own and lose all the beer through the hole in the bottom.

LOL...Of course! Thats like the best way to get drunk fast! When someone hits your beer from the bottom your beer will rise, the whole point of that is to down the beer w/ out spilling any of it...

You should try it..Have Fun :)

It does work, but sometimes you will chip the glass neck of the beer your hitting, and the glass will fall into the bottle. You have to watch what your doing.

It works with Newcastle Brown Ale bottles, when you tap the bottom of the bottle with a coin - amazing

Yes, its fun to do to someone at a party. When you toast someone hit it a little harder than you would and watch it overflow.
Most people will start to chug it quickly.
