GUESS THE BABY ITEM. give description of the items and then you guess the answers - the person that gets the most correct, gets to give MOM the gift.

WORD SCRAMBLE. choose some baby related words and mix up the spelling. the person with the most correct wins.

HOW BIG IS MOM. using a piece of string, each guest makes the piece of string the length that they feel is the size that mom is around. The piece closest to MOM'S size wins.

THE BABY-PIN GAME. a very old baby shower game but always popular. each guest gets a pin and if they sat the word "BABY", who ever catches the person saying "BABY" get the pin. the person with the most pins wins.

I hope that some of these may help you with some ideas.

- put a lot of saftey pins in a baby bottle and pass it around and have everyone put there guess on a peice of paper with there name on it. Who ever guess the closes, wins the price.
-Put a rope in the entry way where people are going to be coming into the house. Have Baby items hanging on the rope. Some items can be, a bib, booties, pacifyer, diaper, ect. Put at least 10 things on the rope. Once everyone arrives, you take down the rope and put it away so they cant see it. Later in the babyshower, have them right down the things they remember seeing. Who ever remembers the most things wins the prize. And all the baby things on the rope go to the pregnant mama.
-There is always Baby BIngo. You can make your own Bingo cards with little little pictures of things you would find in a baby's room or anything to do with a baby.

I just went to a baby shower the other day, and for gifts, they had Plants with bows around them. It was really nice with the plants for gifts. Something to think about. That way you don't have to go and buy little presents that may not be liked.
Women tend to like plants.

What would be cool would be to have all the ladies talk aobut their kids and what they were like when they were little. Even those that aren't married will have had stories of friends, or babysitting, ect to share

You used to be able to guess the sex, but you can't do that anymore.

Another one I liked was when I recently attented a baby shower and we had a contest not to say the word 'Baby' and whoever could keep it up the longest got a prize.

lots of the ones I go to someone (usually the gramma) sets a timer and and if the mother to be is opening your gift when the timer goes off then you get a prize.

Another one I've seen is to see how many items you can remember. Someone has a bag full of baby items and takes them out one by one. Then put them back.
After they are all put back, the guests are given pencil and paper and asked to write down as many baby items as they can remember. The best memory gets a prize.

open several jars of baby food- remove labels and number. Make sure you wirte down which number is what flavor on a piece of paper. Everyone tastes the different flavors and writes their guesses down. The one with the most matches wins!! Also another of my favorites is the baby bubble gum sculpture. Buy packs of bubble yum or another kind that is pretty good sized. Give evryone one or two pieces of gum and a paper plate. Time it for as long as you want to 3 min or 5min. or whatever. everyone chews their gum really fast and then makes a baby sculpture on a paper plate. someone has to judge. Best baby wins! it is so funny some babies were flat, some were sitting up and some were definately boys. lol We also took little squares of mateial and folded them like a diaper and put a safety pin through it, everyone took one as they came in. One of the "diapers" had a spot of baby food in the middle "poop" Whoever got that one won the door prize.Hope this helps. Have a great time!

Well, I don't know how to trow a baby shower but I do know how to throw a baby shower. lol. Just go with the flow. I'm pregnant (6 mon.) and I'm gonna throw mines soon. Just get tons of fun stuff from the party store that you think will be cool to do something with them. And bring them to the party and let nature take its course.

Get a roll of toilet paper, have every one you invite except for the pregnant mom. Guess how big the pregnant lady is around her tummy. Then make them all measure her...after the have already decide on how long of piece they thought she is.

Make a basket (it makes a good center piece) full of baby items. Like lotin, baby toys, wash clothes, shampoo, wipes, socks, etc. Have it where everyone can see it when they enter the room. Then put it away somewhere, give ever guest a piece of paper and have them list every item that was in the basket. This is fun and it makes a nice little gift for the soon to be mom! I loved this! Good Luck...

Isn't it amazing how many perfect people there are in the world who NEVER have a typo & mispell a word?
There were no games at my baby shower. The only thing I can think of is to take paper towels & fold them like diapers. Put some mustard in just one of them & the person who gets the "dirty diaper" wins that game.
Put some small baby items, socks, diaper pins, in a jar & let them guess how many are in it.

It thoroughly depends on the person. Myself, I thought games were foolish and typical of traditional baby showers. I much preferred the Jack and Jilll party where everyone relaxed, chatted, and didn't feel pressured to play games that didn't interest everyone and often make the mother-to-be feel uncomfortable.

#1)A bowl/container of rice and put tiny saftey pins in with it. Apparently it's difficult to feel the different between the two. Blindfold the person and then they half to fish out the safety pins. The person with the most safety pins wins.

#2) Get a bunch of cotton balls. A large spoon .. and a large bowl.. Blind fold the person and tell them the have to scoop the cotton balls off the floor and into the bowl. The most balls in the bowl wins.

#3) Toilet paper measurement. WHile looking at the mommy to be. get how many squares od TP it will take to get around her belly. Everyone gets a stream of tp with their guess then they all measure. The closest wins.

one of the games that i played for my baby shower was to have people guess how many squares of toilet paper would wrap around your belly..then take the toilet paper and see how many actually wrap around your belly..i also took saftey pins and tied ribbons to it and who ever said girl or baby would lose there pin..whoever had the most pins in the end would win..another was.. i would count how many people was at the baby shower..write the numbers down and rip them and fold them in little squars..i would have every one draw and number..and which ever number i chose would get the gift..also know as door prize
