As I said I am recently divorced and have not played the dating or mating game for quite a while whats the best way to approch women. When you feel that you are ready; (and not before)... you'll do just fine, being yourself. (most everybody has answered you that way, so it's gotta be right)...
After all... (even tho' it didn't work out for reasons only you and her know).... somebody has already LOVED you for YOU!...

Go to the grocery store and just look who is around you. Ask a female about some kind of food you want to cook. Ask a female for help down the food isle. Look at the finger for no ring.
Check out the newpaper and see what is going on in town you live in..
Start going to the gym. That would be a great start.
Not knowing if you need the gym. Just try it out.

Just approach her and depending where you are talk about what is around you, i.e your at a bar, catch her eye with a smile. As her if she would like a drink. Try and get her on her own, as it will be easier.
Ask her questions about her self to show you are interested in her, tell her things about you to show your not scared to give a part of yourself.
Just smile, be sincere and be yourself, the rest will follow. Its like riding a bike, you may stumble a few times but you'll always remember in the end what to do

Join a gym or club...some sort of environment where general interests are shared. This is a great way to meet new women without the risk of being rejected. Begin aquaintances amoung several woman...be nice and make witty comments...they will come to you!

First off, stop looking at it as a "game"...it's not...it's real life and there are real people and emotions involved...
How did you used to go about it? Why not approach a woman by saying "hello, my name is ____" and go from there...say something appropriate to the situation or location that y'all are in...

get involved with a group or club , something your interested in where you can meet someone with similar likes.
Then its easy because all you have to do is start chatting about said common interest, and bang... your in.
