Maybe that's what the second death refers to. Heaven (Is heaven even mentioned in the Bible?) and Hades are like holding places. and you get judged again, later.
The more bible verses I read the more Christianity sounds like Hinduism. Especially, since I just found out that the bible considers death to be a place, not a state of being.
So, it's like nobody can die and we are all eternal. And technically, being thrown into the lake of fire is like an end. And, being written into the book of life is like being on the detention list; and having to stay afterlife. The karma free get burned and therefore released. Wahoo!

Well, technically, doesn't the bible say it is impossible to sin in heaven? It's not like I know, but that's what someone is going to say. If you're in Heaven, and you sin, I guess someone would get mad and just destroy you. Maybe you'll just explode, they'll make a big show of it. Boom! Crackle Crackle. "You see why you should never sin in your father's house."
I must say, though, that if there were no sin in heaven, how did Lucifer get thrown down upon the earth? I'm guessing that it wasn't for being too nice.

Oh, bloody hell! Why the heck would you want to go to heaven? All those annoying patronizing people there! Ick! It sounds just as bad as burning eternally in a pit of fire, really. Actually, I'm kind of angry at evil people, so my deal with God is that I will go to hell as a pit-fiend and be allowed to torment the wicked for all eternity. Granted, this may just be delusional wishful thinking on my part that there was any God at all to have this arranged with, but I suspect it expresses my sentiments about malicious people accurately. I really don't want to wait so long though. I'd rather be allowed to torture the wicked in this lifetime just in case there is no afterlife... Too bad that sort of thing is illegal though and I'm a law abiding sort of guy. But if I WAS allowed to torture people in hell, I think I'd have a lot of pent up rage to express upon them and the creative inspiration to make it interesting... Maybe that's the real "heaven?"
Bah. Whatever. I'm getting bored with people's fantasy that this life has some "deeper meaning" that makes their self-indulgent lives worthwhile. I expect there to be scum on both sides of the heaven/hell divide and I don't like any of them.

I thought it was impossible to Sin in heaven. It is the reign of God who does want people to sin.

There HAS to be sin in heaven, otherwise Lucifer and his demon/angels wouldn't have been booted out. I say if you sin in heaven, you will get the BOOT as well...yep, aimed right at your sinning keister and sending you down...down...down to Vegas. Sin City. And we'll never know what's going on with you, because what happens in Vegas, STAYS in Vegas.

he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken. -Isaiah 25:8
I believe the only sin we're going to be capable of committing in Heaven is the unforgivable sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit and/or God himself. (like what Satan did) Otherwise, God is going to abolish death, disease, general imprefections. We will be in a state of near perfection but we will still be his creation and subject to him, but still able to turn against him if we wanted to.

You can't. There is no sin in heaven.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

actually what that means is "the wages of sin is death" death meaning separation from God.. so in essence the quote is saying that when you sin you are separating yourself from God.
